There are two labs available, each with professional equipment: a sampling lab (autopsy room), including large-volume cooling boxes, and a multi-purpose lab that can be used for microscopy, chemistry experiments, etc.
Organisation of workshops, courses and training events
As part of the Elio Garni Hotel, we specialise in providing comfortable accommodation with a range of ancillary services. In addition to the reception desk, the ground floor of the hotel has a cosy dining room; in the front garden by the entrance there is a charming park with a skittle ground and an outdoor chess board. The reception desk is available from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

In the Middle Ages, blacksmiths and shoeing smiths were frequent healers of horses. Saint Eligius was their patron – a bishop and adviser to the kings of Franks in the 7th century, he was helped by a miracle in shoeing a troubled horse. Through this he became a patron of the healing activity of blacksmiths, which, to some extent, applies to veterinary activities.

Exit Vítězné náměstí (square), Prague 6, toward the Crowne Plaza Hotel (former International Hotel) and follow the main road to Suchdol until you reach the Kamýcká/Sídlištní crossroads; at the crossroads, turn left in front of the Carl-Inn Hotel to enter Sídlištní ulice (street). Travel about 100 m to access the car park inside the SVI complex on the left.
Parking guest vehicles is free of charge in the fenced SVI complex, less than 100 m from the centre’s building; there is a 24/7 surveillance service.

By underground line “A”; exit at “Dejvická” station. Exit the station via the stairs located near the rear carriage; then follow the staircase to the left to go up to the street and the bus stop. By train line; exit at “Nádraží Podbaba” station. From both of the stations, there are public buses (Line 107/147) going to “Kamýcká” station; travel time: 7-10 minutes. Departure periods: approximately 3-5 minutes (peak hours) or 10-12 minutes (holidays). By foot: follow the Sídlištní ulice (street); after about 100 m, you pass the main building and entrance into the State Veterinary Institute Prague complex. After another section of 100 m, there is a separate, clearly marked entrance into the Training centre.
