Bovine pregnancy

Detection of pregnancy is based on the determination of early pregnancy gycoproteins (PAGs) in serum or plasma of cattle, sheep, goats, buffalo and bison. The sensitivity of the test is 28 days post-embryo in cattle and goats, 30 days in buffalo and 35 days in sheep. Due to the persistence of PAGs, the test can be used from 60 days after calving. Risk of false positive results even after abortion.
