Our laboratory has recently expanded its portfolio of molecular biology methods to include PCR detection of duck circovirus (DuCV).
This virus primarily affects both domestic and wild ducks and is known for its immunosuppressive effects. Infected animals are more susceptible to other infections, which can lead to a deterioration in the health and productivity of flocks. The introduction of this method enables rapid and reliable detection of the virus and contributes to the early detection of infection.
