Capripox virus (Lumpy skin disease)

A viral disease of cattle, sheep and goats characterised by high fever and seeding of skin nodules, particularly on the head, neck, groin, perineum and mucous membranes, which later become necrotic. Other signs include respiratory distress, keratitis and conjunctivitis.
