Egg drope syndrom

Egg drop syndrome (EDS), or adenoviral salpingitis in poultry, is a viral infection caused by an avian adenovirus in ducks, geese and domestic fowl.

Clinical signs are seen only in hens and include poor shell quality (depigmentation and roughening of the shell, thin to absent shell), a decrease in egg laying and occasionally anorexia or diarrhoea.
