Feline coronavirus (FIP)

(Multisystemic pyogranulomatous disease) A viral disease in which low pathogenic strains of coronavirus cause an intestinal infection without significant sequelae; high pathogenic strains cause infectious peritonitis in cats, which manifests as wet (accumulation of viscous amber fluid in the abdominal cavity) or dry (no accumulation of fluid in the abdominal cavity) FIP.
